Job Description:

Quality Manager position available at Saiia Construction Company LLC, a MasTec Company, requiring leadership on quality of work performed at project sites.

The Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership on quality of work performed at project sites, reviewing drawings and submittals, communicating with Project Managers, and developing site-specific quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the project team from preconstruction planning through project completion
  • Review drawings and submittals for conformance with project requirements
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers to provide quality control updates
  • Develop site-specific quality procedures and review with Project Engineer as necessary
  • Assist jobsite leadership with resolution of client complaints related to quality
  • Order and receive needed project materials and equipment
  • Coordinate and administer weekly quality meetings and/or safety meetings
  • Monitor quality practices daily and ongoing inspections to minimize corrections and punch-list items
  • Implement delegated authority to stop work in the event of quality issues
  • Provide direction to the Project Engineer on quality related items and maintain priority on critical path items
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance with respect to timeliness, efficiency, and quality
  • Prepare and submit reports involving inventory, calibrations, document control logs, and quality issues
  • Provide weekly updates for as-built conditions and continual maintenance of safety logs
  • Enforce and champion the requirements of the site quality program and other project quality and technical requirements
  • Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure all project close-out documents are complete and submitted
  • Act as a Lead Auditor to plan, perform, and report quality audits of construction activities
  • Perform physical inspection of discipline activities, including piping, civil, concrete, and electrical


    Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use other software as necessary
    • Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA rules, regulations, and reporting processes and procedures
    • Ability to professionally represent the Company and lead at all levels in the organization
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables and exercise good business judgment
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines


      Requirements:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
      • Minimum of 5 years as a Quality Manager in Heavy Construction and Project environments
