The Process Piping & Mechanical Engineering Division is looking
for experienced qualified candidates to assist in providing our
high standard of customer service to existing clients and assist in
fostering new relationships in the Oil & Gas and Process Heavy
Industrial market sector.
The Process Piping & Mechanical Engineering Division market focus
consists of the production and distribution of power for private,
municipal, and utility facilities and process focused heavy
industrial, chemical, biodiesel, renewables, and
midstream/downstream oil & gas facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for their Team including operations as risk
and financial management, customer service, and client
management.
- Provide recommendations to the Technical VP regarding staff
recruitment, mentoring and training, performance issues, staff
appraisals, compensation, and staff reductions.
- Assist with recruiting efforts when assigned.
- Monitor available information as required to understand the
current performance of team's projects.
- Develop scope of work, schedules and fees related to proposed
contracts.
- Mentor applicable staff on project execution, performance,
project management, and client management.
- Identify training needs and opportunities for team
members.
- Lead Resource Planning for the team.
- Verify that all Business Practices and Quality Procedures are
being adhered to by team members.
- Enforce corporate/division standards and processes while
enforcing quality control requirements as set forth by the
company/department/division.
- Assess risks to reduce and actively manage risks while assuring
that the required risk management practices are in place.
- Support and Implementation of Strategic Planning.
- Monitor progress on projects and provide input into areas of
concern and direction or redirection to enhance achievement of
project schedules, productivity goals, budgets, and quality.
- Coordinate project schedules and needs with team members and
project managers.
- Assist in workflow development and preparation and maintenance
of tools and standards for detailed design.
- Actively communicate with internal and external clients to
share business intelligence across multiple teams.
- Support and assist in the development of a division business
plan.
- Assist in determination of division objectives and
requirements, organize projects and develop standards and
guidelines.
- Advance and develop division tools and workflows to increase
efficiency of designs, specification development, and project
execution.
- Identify and develop innovative opportunities for business
growth across PEC.
- Assign work and review team member performance to ensure
quality and efficient cost-effective utilization of staff. Monitor
and maintain development staffing levels, staffing loading, and
staffing assignments to meet project requirements while maintaining
goals.
- Provide administrative, supervisory and technical direction for
team.
- Provide administrative, supervisory and technical direction for
Cooperative Education Students and Summer Interns assigned to the
Team including assignment of work, coordinating site trips, and
other associated functions.
- Work with managers, practice leads, project managers and team
members to attract, find and secure talent to develop and
strengthen offered services.
- Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical or an Engineering
degree with Mechanical/Chemical Process focus from an accredited
program.
- Professional registration is a plus but not a requirement.
- 7+ years of related work experience and leadership in the
Chemical Processing and Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience with an Engineering consulting or EPC firm is a
plus.
- Knowledge of systems, calculations, specifications, equipment,
P&ID's, materials selection and development of project
deliverables within the discipline. Knowledge of engineering work
planning and control methods.
- Have experience in project execution, project cost estimates
detailed design and project execution support. Have a clear
understanding of the steps of project development and level of
detail required in each step of project development.
- A good working knowledge of front-end-engineering-design (FEED)
delivery systems.
- Have experience in generating markups on P&ID's, layouts,
isometrics.
- Skilled in review of P&IDs, PFDs, vender documents (e.g.
general arrangement [GA], equipment drawings, instruments &
valves)
- Proficient user of MS Office software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great leadership qualities and team oriented.
- Customer-focused with a strong work ethic.
- Strong safety focus.
- Pro-active and willing to take initiative.
- Responsive and sensitive to project, client and personnel
needs.
- Effectively manages multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule
agreed with direct manager.
- Occasional travel to field / project sites / other offices may
